IATA is an international trade body, created over 60 years ago by a group of airlines. Today, IATA represents some 230 airlines comprising 93% of scheduled international air traffic. The organization also represents, leads and serves the airline industry in general. A large network of industry suppliers and service providers gathered by IATA provides solid expertise to airlines in a variety of industry solutions, including via the IATA Strategic Partnership Program.
The Aviation Industry Association of New Zealand represents the interests of the aviation community. The AIA has ten divisions spanning all aspects of aviation; including air transport, agricultural operations, flight training, air rescue and air ambulance services, engineering, helicopters, education and research, general aviation airports and supply and services. Membership is open to the national commercial aviation community that grows the economic wealth of the New Zealand economy.
Aviation New Zealand champions the international development of New Zealand's aviation exports, encourages the development of scale through collaboration, and connects international customers with appropriate solutions developed in New Zealand.
